A good game can be defined in many, many ways: photorealistic graphics, soulful storytelling, an absolutely glorious soundtrack. This game is none of this things but it is a guaranteed good time and it keeps a smile on your face from the beginning to end. Darkside Detective is a quirky little point and click mystery game that takes you into the sleepy town of Twin Lakes and puts you into the slime coated shoes of Detective McQueen. As the detective, you solve mysteries around town with your trusty idiot, Officer Dooley. There are six episodic mysteries for you to solve by talking with Twin Lakes' denizens. The game forces you to be creative at every turn, you use Darkside logic and find yourself thinking of course the goblin you just killed is a perfect way to shield yourself from the sprinklers you set off without a moment's hesitation. Every scene is perfectly nostalgic and spooky. Every line gives you a chuckle. This game is literally just the "*me witnessing horrors beyond my comprehension*, I don't get it" meme. Please play it, I want 15 more of these games.
